The Centre for Biofield Sciences (CBS) was established at the Maharastra Institute of Technology’s (MIT) World Peace Centre in 1998 by Dr Thornton Streeter and team of clinicians and technicians, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad, as a fully equipped research laboratory.

The aim of CBS is to map the human biofield and explore its significance in modern healthcare. The human biofield was recognized by the National Institutes of Health (USA) in 2004 and can now be referenced in a number of research papers accessible through PubMed. Understanding the Anatomy and Physiology of the human biofield has been aided by a vast global resource of esoteric knowledge embedded in a wide spectrum of spiritual and medical traditions.

Discoveries at CBS included a technique to view the functionality of the Chakras and the link between the Meridians, Nadis and Bonghan ducts. Dr Thornton Streeter, the founder, is a global leader in this field and is regularly invited all over the globe to share the findings of CBS.
